63-year-old woman from Lagrangeville, NY · party of 2

Marlene Stager, 63, slipped on ice and sustained a non-life-threatening injury approximately 1/4 mile up the Falling Waters Trail on December 30, 2022. She and her husband had spent the day hiking the Franconia Ridge Loop and were well outfitted with extra clothing, traction devices, and required equipment. Conservation Officers and Pemigewasset Valley Search & Rescue volunteers carried her out to the trailhead by 7:30 p.m.; she was then transported to Littleton Hospital.
