On July 26, 2026, a hiker collapsed and suffered a seizure near Guyot Shelter in the Pemi Wilderness, between Mount Bond and Mount Guyot. Passing hikers and AMC staff stabilized him and radioed for help. The New Hampshire Army National Guard helicopter hoisted the hiker out and transported him to Littleton Regional Hospital.
