Trail: Mt. Langdon Trail, Mt. Parker Trail
Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Leaves - Significant/Slippery
“A pleasant hike on mostly root and rock free trails. There were wet leaves and mud down low, but easy to navigate around. Even with the afternoon rain, the conditions didn't worsen. No trace of snow or ice on the trails. I wore my trail runners for the first time this season and had no issues.”

“I really enjoyed this trail with its mix of easy, moderate, and steepish sections. The trail is not especially rocky or rooty and there are switchbacks! Trail is in really good condition and the views are great! I posted pics in 52WAV Facebook group.”

“Had sun all the way up with light winds. At the summit lookout as soon as I walked out got hit with 30 to 40 mph gusts for a few minutes then it calmed down to almost no wind. Fantastic views of Crawford, Stairs and Resolution. Mt. Washington was gorgeous.”

Rising along the Montalban Ridge in the White Mountain National Forest, this 3,004-foot summit sits in a quieter corner of the Whites, offering a rewarding escape from more crowded destinations. The peak earns its Difficult rating through sustained climbing on rugged, rocky terrain that demands careful footing and solid hiking experience. The route traverses dense boreal forest characteristic of the region, with the summit and upper slopes remaining largely wooded, limiting panoramic views compared to more exposed neighbors. However, the ridge walk itself provides a satisfying wilderness character and a genuine sense of remoteness. As part of the 52 With A View list, the mountain attracts peak-baggers seeking to complete one of New Hampshire's most popular intermediate hiking challenges. Its position on the Montalban Ridge makes it a natural complement to nearby summits like Mount Resolution and Mount Davis, often combined into longer ridge traverses.
