21-year-old male ice climber from Fairhope, Alabama · party of 2

On January 28, 2024, Ryan Cooper, 21, fell 20–30 feet while ice climbing on the 'repentance route' at Cathedral Ledge in Bartlett, sustaining a leg injury. His climbing partner lowered him to ground level before first responders arrived. He was carried out in a litter and transported to Memorial Hospital in Conway.
