73-year-old male from Glen, NH, hiking with dog

Jonathan Burroughs, 73, slipped on a muddy section of the Imp Trail while descending and suffered a leg injury severe enough to prevent self-rescue. He called 911, prompting a response from NHFG and over 25 search and rescue volunteers. He was packaged in a litter and carried approximately 2.2 miles to an awaiting ambulance and then transported to Memorial Hospital.
