41-year-old female thru-hiker from Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec

On June 9, 2023, a solo thru-hiker slipped on a wet root on the Kinsman Ridge Trail in Lincoln, NH, suffering a lower leg injury that prevented her from continuing. She sheltered under her tent in persistent rain until rescuers arrived and carried her 3.5 miles out to the trailhead on Rt. 116. She was transported by Littleton Fire/Rescue to Littleton Regional Healthcare for treatment.
