54-year-old male from Enon, Ohio · party of 2

Rodney Jones, 54, of Enon, Ohio, collapsed approximately one mile up the Orange Trail on Mount Major on September 6, 2010, from an apparent heart attack while hiking with his wife. Nearby hikers initiated CPR and 911 was called at 2:35 p.m. Rescue efforts were unsuccessful and Jones was pronounced dead at 3:31 p.m.
