25-year-old male rock climber from Cambridge, Massachusetts

Jiwon Han, 25, fell approximately 20 feet while rock climbing on an unnamed route near Sundown Ledge when a piece of bolted protection released. He sustained serious injuries to both lower extremities. Rescuers stabilized him and transported him by rescue litter to the trailhead, where he was taken to Memorial Hospital in North Conway.
