60-year-old female hiker from Groton, Massachusetts

On June 21, 2025, Kathy Doody, age 60, was hiking back toward the Attitash Trail trailhead in Bartlett, NH when a dead tree fell on top of her approximately half a mile from the trailhead. Conservation officers and Bartlett Jackson Ambulance Service responded and had her in the ambulance by approximately 12:30 p.m. She was transported to Memorial Hospital in North Conway for evaluation of her injuries.
