66-year-old male from Gilmanton, NH

On September 7, 2024, Daniel Batchelder, 66, suffered a medical emergency on the Chippewa Trail in Haverhill, NH, more than a mile from the trailhead. Conservation officers, Pemi Valley Search and Rescue volunteers, and Haverhill Fire Department members reached him at approximately 8:30 p.m. and assisted him out to the trailhead by 10:34 p.m. He was then transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for further treatment.
