32-year-old woman from Somerville, Massachusetts

On July 3, 2023, Brynne Quinlan slipped on a wet-rock section of the Webster Jackson Trail while descending and suffered a leg injury severe enough to prevent her from continuing on her own. She called 911, prompting a response from NH Fish and Game, Pemi Valley Search and Rescue Team, and AMC employees. Rescue personnel reached her approximately 2 miles up from the trailhead and carried her out in a litter, arriving at the trailhead at approximately 11:20 p.m.
