On September 7, 2026, Andrew Mahoney, 58, of Madison, NH, had trouble descending the Jewell Trail with his wife and daughter due to a medical condition. Conservation Officers and his brother assisted him down, reaching him at 12:40 a.m. and helping him to the Base Station parking lot by 3:20 a.m.
