55-year-old male ice climber from New Boston, NH

Eric Scoville, age 55, fell approximately seventy feet while climbing the Standard Route at Frankenstein Cliffs solo and un-roped on March 16, 2013. Nearby climbers, including a guide from the International Mountain Climbing School, assessed his injuries, packaged him in a litter, and carried him to the parking area for ambulance transport. He was transferred by helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital and listed in critical but stable condition as of March 17, 2013.
