an 18-year-old from Granby, MA

On July 25, 2026, Richard Beaulieu, 18, of Granby, MA, suffered a significant leg injury on the Tuckerman Ravine Trail near Tuckerman Junction, approximately half a mile from the summit of Mt. Washington. Passing hikers with EMT certifications provided on-scene medical support while a rescue crew from NH Fish and Game, AVSAR, and LRSAR responded. He was carried by litter to the summit and subsequently transported to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin for treatment.
